Description:

(To play the full game in multiplayer you need the program "The allseeing eye" to find the servers. It's availible for download on this site.)

V390 is compatible with all versions of Devastation except the French and Russian. It can be installed on both the patched (380 or 381) and unpatched (retail) versions of the game.

This patch addresses the following issues:

- NPC AI fully rewritten. Enemy AI greatly improved, increasing the challenge.
- Server compatibility issues resolved. Can now play against Devastation gamers worldwide.
- "BindPort" crash on startup fixed.
- Drop to desktop crash in-game fixed.
- Crash during map transition fixed.
- Problem with configuration files in My Documents fixed.
- Team StreetWar dedicated server crash fixed.

	Readme File: Devastation by Digitalo Studios - retail v390 patch V390 is compatible with all versions of Devastation except the French and Russian. It can be installed on both the patched (381) and unpatched (retail) versions of the game. - The main fix from this patch is the single player AI. The NPC attack AI has been fully rewritten. Your teammates fight better and more tactically with you, they cover each other and look for cover when outnumbered. Also the enemy AI has been greatly improved, making the game more challenging. You have to play it to believe it! - Furthermore it's now possible to play against other Devastation gamers worldwide. The compatibility and connection issues between the North American and European versions have been addressed. Bugfixes incude: - infinite grenade cheat - respawn without spawner cheat - reload animation getting stuck in loop - HUD icons for territories =============================================== Diese Verbesserungen gliedern sich in folgende Kernpunkte: * Die KI der Teammitglieder im Einzelspielermodus ist komplett neu erstellt worden. Besonderen Wert wurde auf das Kampf- und Deckungsverhalten der Teammitglieder gelegt. Sie agieren jetzt wesentlich taktischer zur Unterstützung des Spielers. * Komplette Überarbeitung der Angriffs-KI der Gegner. * Komplette Überarbeitung der Wegfinderoutinen innerhalb der einzelnen Level. * Beseitigung der Trennung zwischen nordamerikanischen und europäischen Servern. * Beseitigung einiger Animations- und Grafikfehler. * Beseitigung einiger Fehler im Mehrspielermodus. FAQ zu Patch 390 1. Installation Der Patch 390 kann grundsätzlich über bereits gepatchte Versionen von DEVASTATION installiert werden. Wir empfehlen jedoch folgendes Vorgehen um sämtliche Möglichkeiten von inkonsistenten Daten auszuschließen: * Deinstallation von DEVASTATION mittels des Deinstallationsprogrammes * Neuinstallation von DEVASTATION 1.0 von der Original CD * Aufspielen des Patches 390 Bitte beachten Sie dabei, dass das Verzeichnis "Eigene Dateien" unter Windows nicht verschoben oder umbenannt sein darf. Dies führt zu Fehlern bei der Installation und verhindert einen ordnungsgemäßen Betrieb von DEVASTATION. 2. Kompatibilität des Mehrspielermodus: Der Patch 390 ist im Mehrspielermodus nicht kompatibel zu den vorherigen Versionen von DEVASTATION. Ein Verbindungsaufbau im Netzwerk- oder Internetmodus zwischen der Version 390 und älteren Versionen von DEVASTATION ist nicht möglich. Diese Versionen sind auf Grund der massiven Eingriffe in das Programm nicht mehr kompatibel. 3. Game-Server Die von BigBen Interactive und uns zur Verfügung gestellten Game-Server werden im Laufe des Nachmittages auf die Version 390 umgestellt. Ältere Versionen von DEVASTATION sind mit diesen Servern nicht mehr kompatibel. 4. Gespeicherte Spielstände Sämtliche abgespeicherte Spielstände können weiterhin verwendet werden. Wir wünschen Ihnen viel Freude mit Ihrem "neuen" DEVASTATION.

Anyway, this game is quite mediocre. There are better options on the market.
